About the Trainer

Jenna Wayerski
Our riding instructor and trainer, Jenna Wayerski, has been apart of the West Wind Family for four years now.  Jenna started riding when she was 10 years old at a show barn located in North Central Wisconsin. From there she acquired her own horse Shifty a Buckskin Quarter Horse that had a bucking issue.  Jenna starting playing with him and soon found that she was practicing Natural Horsemanship with him which led to them having a great bond and taking many rides through the family farm.  When her family moved from the Marshfield area in 2002 to the Eau Claire area Jenna starting taking lessons with Jennifer Collman and started toning her skills for working with young and problematic horses.

Having this as the base of her training helps her immensely but it is only the beginning.  Having taken lessons many iconic trainers and continuing her education.  Jenna believes that she can never be done learning because there is always someone to teach her something, young or old, horse or human.  With the philosophy of "Horses are thinking animals that should be offered the ability to use their mind and express their own personalities Jenna excels at starting young horses or even children in riding as she often states she loves watching young horses and riders progress and reach there fullest potential.  With a firm but steady hand and voice Jenna is able to quickly figure out how each horse and rider learn to give them both the guidance they need often being described as a cheerleader for each student and horse.

Jenna is building her reputation as a quality Pleasure trainer on the WSCA circuit. With hopes of also gaining ground in the APHA, AQHA, ApHC worlds.
