At West Wind Stables, we do our best to maintain consistent and effective parasite control and prevent disease. A haphazard deworming program puts him or her at risk for increased exposure to parasite eggs and larvae. Our deworming program breaks the cycle primarily by killing adult worms before they lay eggs in your horse's intestines. By reducing the number of eggs, it'll minimize his exposure to parasites.
Staying consistent ensures that all of our boarders are kept up to date and dewormed every 60 days. A consistent deworming program not only is effective against parasite infestation, but also allows us to offer peace of mind and convenience for you. Instead of shopping for dewormers, we take care of the fuss for you, and add your deworming costs to your monthly statement. If rotational deworming isn't the right fit for your horse, we also have several daily dewormers available that go right into his or her daily diet.

*Vaccination protocols are specific to certain areas of the country. Vaccination schedules can also be dependant on your horse's environment. If your horse does a lot of traveling, horse showing or lives in a large boarding facility where there are horses moving in and out you should consult your veterinarian regarding a more aggressive vaccination program. If, on the other hand, your horse lives a quiet life with little travel and little interaction with other horses consult your veterinarian regarding a less aggressive schedule. If you do not believe in vaccinating your horse at all please contact your veterinarian.
