Ranch Camps...
From sunrise to sun down, the focus is on
horses. Ranch Camp at West Wind Stables provides boys and girls the
opportunity to interact with horses in a fun, safe and educational
environment.
Camps are divided by age and riding level.
Beginners can get a taste of what it's like to own a horse of their own
in the Beginner Junior (Ages 6-11) or Senior camp (Ages 12-17). On the
final day of beginner camps, family and friends are invited to watch our
campers show off what they have learned and help celebrate with a pizza
party. For our more advanced campers, riders ages 6-17 further their
skills in either Western or English in our Intermediate or Advanced
Camps.
A typical day involves three to four hours of riding time, divided
between group lessons and games. The remainder of the day includes
groundwork, horse safety classes and learning about horse care around
the stable. Lunch and drinks are provided. Each camper will receive a
West Wind Stables T-Shirt, a camera and a scrap book to make lasting
memories of their time at camp.
A very limited enrollment allows us to properly
match each camper with the appropriate horse or pony. It also permits
us to provide the individual instruction and attention necessary to
ensure a rewarding experience.
